One of the UK's leading commercial musician; forty years of experience in the forefront of the UK music scene as a player (guitar) and arranger in addition to scoring music for films, television and commercial advertising.
Career began with Rock singer Billy Fury and was subsequently Musical Director for Eddie Calvert, Georgie Fame and Alan Price.
Worked as Arranger/Composer for the late Jack Lynn of Metromedia in U.S.A. from 1970 until 1992. Composer of many themes for TV advertising and TV series'. Since 1959 has been top-rated guitarist performing on disc with many of the leading acts of recent years including :-
Elton John, Diana Ross, Paul Simon, Tom Jones, Kiri te Kanawa, Gene Vincent,Jose Carreras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Bjork!.
Played on numerous film scores for:- Quincy Jones, Henry Mancini Jerry Goldsmith, Elmer Bernstein, George Fenton, John Barry, Howard Shore, John Williams and James Horner amongst many others.
Arranged and conducted film scores for:- "Entertaining Mr Sloane" and "The Garnett Saga"
Musical Director for Dame Shirley Bassey from June 1995 to August 2003. In that capacity he conducted orchestras in America, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the Phillipines, Hong Kong, Norway, Belgium and England as well as arranging and supervising the production of two of Miss Bassey's recent albums. One of his last appearances with Dame Shirley was when he conducted the orchestra (including Phil Collins on drums!) for her rendition of 'Goldfinger' at the 'Party at the Palace' celebration at Buckingham Palace; this was seen worldwide by an estimated audience of 200 million!!!
Producer of Ms Bassey's albums "The Birthday Concert" and "The Diamond Collection", the former of which was nominated for the prestigious Grammy Awards
Now concentrating on teaching he divides his time between holding master classes and also putting the finishing touches to his soon to be published Reactive Guitar Method.
